MOSCOW, August 6. /Basereporter.com/. The Ministry of transport of Russia proposes to increase the share of Federal funding for the maintenance of regional roads to 50% by 2023. On Monday the newspaper “Izvestia” with reference to a working version of the national project “Safe and quality roads” and the letter of the Deputy Minister of transport Nikolay Asaul in the subjects of the Russian Federation.
According to the publication, the Ministry of transport plans in 2019 to pay from the Federal budget of 30% of the cost of repair of regional roads, and then increase the proportion to 50% by 2023. The remaining share of costs to be paid from the budget of regions.
Yet the maintenance of regional roads is funded from the budgets of the constituent entities of the Federation. In the working version of the national project of the Ministry of transport, seen by the publication, indicated that in the framework of government programs of support of subjects for the restoration of regional roads allocated from the Federal budget to 17% of the required amount of funds.
At the beginning of year in Russia there were 511 thousand km of regional and municipal roads, of which the regulatory state was only 43.1 per cent. In 2017, the development of regional road network in the form of Federal transfers were sent to 124 billion rubles. In mid-July of 2018, transport Minister Eugene Dietrich reported that additional transfers from the Federal budget on bringing half of the regional roads up to standard by 2024, may be 514 billion.
Earlier, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said that in the framework of the national project for the development of the regional highways priority will be bringing at least half of the traffic arteries of constituent entities of the Russian Federation to the normative state.
