Previously, the interregional Union of workers Association (MPRA) has announced disruptions in the supply of components on a production line in connection with the Italian strike of the employees of the production because of fears their transfer to outsourcing and further reductions. Under the Italian strike means strict execution of the company’s employees of their duties and rules. In particular, according to the Union, the speed of movement of equipment at the plant fell to the provided safety instructions (five kilometers per hour) at the normal speed of ten kilometers per hour.
“At the moment the plant is working in normal mode, and our customers will receive the ordered car in time,” she said.
Kostyukovich added that the plant’s management is in constant contact with employees and ready for a constructive dialogue. “The efficiency of the production process is necessary in order to preserve jobs, we are constantly increasing our production volumes and in line with this, increasing the number of our employees. With the beginning of 2018, we hired about 400 new employees in the automotive manufacturing and for the production of engines,” – said the Agency interlocutor.
According to the Chairman of MPRA in the Kaluga region Dmitry Labor, workers are demanding guarantees for the preservation of their jobs from the new Director of production Oliver Gruenberg. “First of August “work rules” have become the drivers of forklifts and stackers that supply body parts production: about 20 people. A source close to the leadership of Volkswagen Group Rus said that the plant is working normally, decisions on the transfer of employees to outsourcing there. “This is not a strike with the point of view of legislation, because everything is done, just people are working on regulations. In 2017, the conveyor of the Kaluga plant produced 118,5 thousand Volkswagen Tiguan and Polo, Skoda Rapid, it’s 8,500 more than in 2016.
