MOSCOW, 8 Aug. /Basereporter.com/. Ukraine due to maintenance work on the clock has stopped pumping through the pipeline “Druzhba”, informed journalists the official representative of “Transneft” Igor Demin.
“In accordance with the plan, in connection with the routine maintenance in the Ukraine on the day the shipment is stopped at the South branch of the ICC “Friendship” in the direction Feneshlitke and Bucovice” he said.
Demin said that these works do not affect the work of the oil pipeline system of Transneft, since the presence of tank farms allows to ensure smooth operation of all pipelines. On the branch of “Friendship” is pumped about 1 million tons of oil per month, which is about 30-35 tonnes per day.
Demin added that all the ports work on the shipment of oil for export are on schedule. “Novorossiysk is preparing for the storm, the evening is expected wind to 23 m/s. Unstable weather will continue until the end of the week,” he added.
Oil supplies by the Druzhba pipeline to Eastern Europe began in 1964 when construction was completed on the first phase of the highway.
The Druzhba pipeline starts in the Samara region (Lopatino LPDS), comes to the administrative border of Russia with Belarus, where the village High (lods “Unecha” in the Bryansk region) is divided into two areas. North – on the territory of Belarus goes through Polotsk to the Baltic States to the ports of Butinge and Ventspils. South direction through Mozyr (Belarus) and Brody (Ukraine) is in Eastern Europe. Construction was started on the 18th of December 1959, after an agreement between the governments of the countries of Council for Mutual Economic assistance (CMEA) on the supply of Soviet oil to the countries of the socialist community. The system of oil pipelines “Friendship” was in those years 8.9 thousand km of motorway.
