The head of Ingushetia considers that the airport of Magas to the end of the year will receive international status

GROZNY, August 8. /Basereporter.com/. The airport of Magas may until the end of 2018 to international status, told reporters the head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov.

“Identified by the Federal Agency for transport supervision, Federal air transport Agency, Ministry of transport, the shortcomings of almost all eliminated. I think by the end of the year will achieve international status,” he said.

According to him, first and foremost, the international status will help to increase the investment attractiveness of the region. He also said that the airport planned to renovate – expand Parking lot to organize the hall of the international arrivals and departure checkpoint, customs and border control.

Yevkurov was earlier reported that the first will be a flight to Kazakhstan, then to Turkey.

The Magas airport is located 30 km North-East of the city. It includes a terminal building (passenger terminal) with the necessary facilities and equipment for border, immigration, customs, veterinary and sanitary – quarantine control provided for crossing the state border of the Russian Federation.

The capacity of the airport of Magas is about 150 people per hour.
