The Russian Embassy in the United States invited the state Department to make public the official correspondence on the introduction of sanctions for the case Skrobala. This is stated in the statement of the Russian Embassy in the United States, released on Wednesday.
“For its part, recalled the fundamental approaches to the events in the UK, which the Embassy set out in the relevant letters to the state Department. Confirmed that we have consistently advocated an open and transparent investigation of the crime in Salisbury and punishment guilty”, – said in a statement.
“Offered to make available to the public correspondence on this issue. The answer has not followed yet”, – stated in the message of the diplomatic mission.
The Embassy also noted that the U.S. government has not provided facts or evidence of Russia’s involvement in the case Skrobala.
“On August 8, our Advisor-envoy at the state Department was declared the new “draconian” penalties under the false pretext “used by the government of the Russian Federation” nerve agents “Rookie” against a British citizen Sergei Skripal and his daughter. “Our clarifying questions, the U.S. side, citing confidentiality, refused to give explanations,” reads the statement. “At the same time it was stated that the United States has sufficient data to conclude that “the guilt of Russia”, – specified in the message.
Earlier the us administration announced that from August 22 imposes sanctions against Russia due to attributed to her involvement in the poisoning March 4, ex-GRU Colonel Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia in British Salisbury. As noted earlier, the same state Department spokesman, after 90 days the U.S. government will take a decision about the introduction of a second package of sanctions against Moscow, depending on whether it is a number put to her conditions. Russia has repeatedly denied allegations of his involvement in the incident with Kripalani.
