Before the leaders told the press that they intend to raise issues such as the situation in Syria, the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict, the situation around the deal on the Iranian nuclear program, bilateral matters, including the project of the pipeline “Nord stream – 2”.
In negotiations with the Russian side was attended by the presidential aide Yuri Ushakov and Deputy head of the Kremlin administration – press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.
The meeting in the format of a working dinner was held in the suburban residence of the government of Germany for the guests of honor Meseberg, 70 km North of Berlin in the district Oberhavel (Federal state Brandenburg).
