MOSCOW, July 25. /Basereporter.com/. Ministry of Russia proposes to recognize beryl and its varieties – aquamarine, Heliodor and semi – precious stones, corresponding changes in the legislation already prepared by the Ministry and may come into force in 2018, the press service of the Ministry.
Changes were required to prevent their illegal extraction and sale. Earlier the Ministry of natural resources has already increased the administrative fines for the unauthorized production, storage, transportation and marketing of amber, jade or other semiprecious stones.
“This choice is due to the relatively high cost of the beryl in raw materials and products, including outside the Russian Federation. There are deposits and occurrences of beryl for its unlicensed production”, – stated in the message.
The assignment of beryl semiprecious stones to make uneconomic illegal poaching and trafficking of this semiprecious stone, is added in the Ministry.
