MOSCOW, July 26. /Basereporter.com/. The service switched to the enhanced mode in Omsk, where residents complain of fumes and chemical smells. In particular, the service is studying how to prevent unauthorized activities on the landfills in the region, according to Rosprirodnadzor.

“Given the available information, the issue of restraint unauthorized activities on objects of communal waste disposal. Earlier Rosprirodnadzor repeatedly fixed cases of retrieval from the body of the landfill and sintering metal-bearing wastes”, – stated in the message.

In addition, the service informs that in the city there was adverse weather conditions, which only worsen the environmental situation, while impurities do not have time to dissipate.

Earlier it was reported that the Rosprirodnadzor in the Omsk region and the regional Ministry of natural resources and environment will conduct an unscheduled inspection of seven industrial enterprises in connection with the identified from 17 to 23 July, air pollution in Omsk hydrogen sulfide, and ethylbenzene.

In March last year in Omsk there were suffocating chemical smell, there were 400-fold excess concentration of ethyl mercaptan. The source of the contamination was never found.
