KIEV, July 27. /Basereporter.com/. Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman stated once again that Ukraine does not need Russian gas and called for an end to “bow down” to Russia.
“It is very important to maintain independence, including energy. I always wondered that Ukraine, which has huge natural gas reserves in the depths, bought the gas from Russia. Should have come in December, as any government bowed head and knee, crawling to Moscow and agreed on the price of gas,” – he said at a government meeting.
In his opinion, the country has enough resources to provide themselves with their own gas, which will further reduce the price of fuel.
From November 2015, Ukraine refused to directly receive gas from Russia and started to buy the same gas from European suppliers “reverse scheme”. Now, as acknowledged by Ukrainian officials, the fuel costs the country more in the $25-30 per 1 thousand cubic meters.
