NEW YORK, August 1. /Basereporter.com/. The administration of U.S. President Donald trump will propose to introduce a fee at the rate of 25% instead of the planned 10% on imports of Chinese goods and services worth $200 billion. this was announced on Tuesday, business news Agency Bloomberg, citing three knowledgeable individuals.

According to them, trump has previously proposed to introduce a fee at the rate of 10% for a more advanced list of goods and services. However, the authority considers this measure insufficient and recommended to raise the threshold to 25%. An official statement on this subject can be published in a few days.

According to one source, the decision to raise the level of future fees is not final and is subject to additional agreement.

In June 2018, the US imposed duties of 25% on imported Chinese goods worth $50 billion. the Formal reason was the accusation of China stealing American intellectual property and technology, as well as in the implementation of unfair trade practices.

Beijing expressed its protest in connection with this decision of the US administration, describing it as a violation of WTO rules, and has stated that it will take the same scale of measure. July 6 was introduced duty in the amount of 25% on American products worth $34 billion, mainly on agricultural products, cars and seafood.
