A motorcycle “IZH” of project “Cortege” will be sold freely in Russia and abroad

MOSCOW, August 1. /Basereporter.com/. A motorcycle “IZH” of project “Cortege” (it was created by running the concern “Kalashnikov”) is planned to be available for sale not only in Russia but also abroad, said the head of Rostec Sergey Chemezov.

“In this regard, we do not put any signs of differences between markets,” he said.

“Will the sale of motorcycle on the market it will be released under the brand “IZH”. This brand is known since the Soviet times, now it belongs to our concern “Kalashnikov”, which is working on a new machine. Will the motorcycle in exactly the same tuple, it is difficult to say. But it will definitely be used in the solution – design and technical – used motorcycle for the project “Cortege”, – said Chemezov.

Earlier, Chemezov reported that the motorcycle test will be completed no earlier than 2019, and then will put the question on its batch production. In may, the head of Rostec told President Vladimir Putin that the bike project “Cortege” is almost ready, but it should still “bring to mind”. According to him, the motorcycle, which was “very beautiful”, not inferior in characteristics to Western counterparts, to which the President replied that he needs to be better abroad.

Developed by concern “Kalashnikov”, the motorcycle can accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. Its dimensions are – 2900х940х1250 mm, weight – 510 kg. Maximum speed concept bike, the 250 km/h, torque 180 Nm, engine power – 110 kW.
