VIENNA, 2 Aug. /Basereporter.com/. Nord Stream – 2 AG, the operator of the project “Northern stream – 2”, developed a route of a gas pipeline bypassing Denmark without appreciation for the project. This was during a press conference on the second quarter, said Executive member of the Board of Directors of the Austrian oil company OMV, Manfred Leitner.
“We have already developed an alternative route, Nord Stream – 2 AG does not need extra permissions. The total project cost will remain the same, as mentioned at the start of the project is €9.5 billion”, – he told, answering an appropriate question.
Previously financial Director of Nord Stream AG 2 Paul Corcoran told journalists that does not exclude the laying of the pipeline around Denmark if she did not give permission for the construction of the pipeline along the original route. He explained that you can change the scheme of construction pending resolution from Denmark, and then to finish this section, which takes no more than 10% of the route. Corcoran also expressed confidence that if Denmark will not allow the construction of “Nord stream – 2” in its waters, you will be given a permit for laying in international waters.
The construction itself can begin as early as this summer, said the CFO of Nord Stream – 2 AG. According to him, contractors can begin construction at any time, regardless of weather conditions.
