MOSCOW, August 2. /Basereporter.com/. Roskomnadzor will conduct a planned inspection of a Burger King in 2019 because of the suspicion to the collection of personal data of users of the application of restaurant chain, reported Thursday on page departments in the social network “Vkontakte”.
“Any news about the possible leakage of data through the application of Burger King Russia. We’ve included Burger King in the audit plan for next year. User complaints outside the authority of Roskomnadzor, we have issued and sent to colleagues in the service, are responsible for the safety of Russian citizens”, – stated in the message.
The service explained that it did not have the opportunity to quickly initiate an unscheduled inspection, but in 2019 will have an audit of the company “to the fullest extent of the law “On personal data”.
Earlier in mass media appeared information that the mobile app Burger King to get discounts at the restaurant chain writes the data from the phones of users. July 12, Roskomnadzor sent the company a request in connection with publications. The Agency was asked to confirm or deny the published information within 30 days after receipt of the request.
Representatives of Burger King in conversation with Basereporter.com denied information about the collection of personal data of subscribers to the application, stressing that all transactions are securely protected.
