PETROZAVODSK, August 2. /Basereporter.com/. The first in Karelia, the wind farm will be built on the White sea. Investments in the Russian-Chinese project will amount to 9 billion rubles, said Thursday in an interview Basereporter.com the President of Armenia Artur Parfenchikov.

“Currently, the most promising is the Russian-Chinese project of wind power – the construction of the wind farm 60 MW on the White sea. The investment amounts to 9 billion roubles,” said Parfenchikov.

According to him, “Novamind” (the managing company of Rosatom in the direction of the wind) and China’s Fujian province Fujian Investment and Development Group plan to create a joint venture for the project. During the year there will be wind measurements.

“We are looking for the maximum localization of equipment, structural components for the enterprises of Karelia. We would become the basis for the production of housing for wind power plants”, – said the head of the region.

In February, the press service of “Novamind” reported that in Karelia the project on construction of wind power capacity to 60 MW on the shores of the White sea is planned to be implemented in 2021 or 2022.
