The President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed the law on state registration of vehicles (TC), which, including, allows manufacturers and dealers to put the TC on the account and issue license plates. The document adopted by the state Duma on July 25 and approved by the Federation Council on July 28, published on the official portal of legal information.
The act establishes a number of definitions. For example, States that “the owner of the vehicle are the owners of the vehicle except persons under 16 years of age or recognized as disabled.”
To register the vehicle will be “registration Department”, Ministry of internal Affairs, both independently and in cooperation with the “specialized organizations”. Such an organization can become “registered in the Russian Federation legal person or the individual businessman authorised by the manufacturer or its representative in Russia” to sell “made the vehicle”, i.e. the car dealer.
In addition, the law clarifies the rights and obligations of the vehicle owner.
